Film: Twilight

Thousands of fans will not be disappointed with the first of the Twilight series, after them creating a gothic, romantic teenage genre all of their own. Appealing to no particular audience but manages to pull it and attract a wider audience then if a single genre were to have been used. However there are some disappointing factors after the book was such a huge success it would always be near impossible for the film to follow with such success and enthusiasm. On the other hand the book can offer all the detail we need and let our true imagination run wild, when the film will always give you a limit and guidelines.

The director and producer took a risk in using minor up and coming actors for a new major high effects trilogy, but the risk has paid off well. With people concentrating more on the storyline and less on the A-list celebrities it has really helped the film come into its own. For such ‘amateur’ actors they have really done a fantastic job and the love story between Bella and Edward is very real and believable more so than some adult films have managed to create.

The fantastic setting has really helped us to imagine the story and really helps us to believe that this could have been a possible location for a family of vampires. Although the storyline is a little unbelievable in places it was generally believable. It is the new must see teen movie that can’t be missed for those who want to be part of the conversation at school and equally at work.
