CHILDREN and adults have flocked to the Wyvern Theatre’s summer roadshows.

The team from the theatre has been touring the town with a production of the classic children’s book Guess How Much I Love You, much to the delight of those young and old.

The much loved tale of Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare have been brought to life by children’s theatre director David Wood. Wyvern marketing and press officer Claire McFauld said: “The roadshows have been going really well and it has been great to get out and about in the town.

“It is good to take the shows out of the theatre and into the community.

“We have had an amazing response as the children love the characters from the book and their parents all seem to remember it from their childhood.

“We are hoping to tour shows each year as it really is a different way for the audiences to experience them.

“I think everyone who has come to see the show, and all those working behind the scenes, have had a great time.”

The roadshows started on Monday and have already been to Lydiard Park, Brunel Centre, Roves Farm, West Swindon Library and the North Swindon Library.

Today the final roadshows will be at the Oasis Leisure Centre from 10am until noon and then back at Lydiard Park from 12.30pm to 4pm.

The roadshows are free to and you can just turn up.

The show will be at the Wyvern Theatre from July 23 to 25. Tickets are £11.50 for adults and £10.50 for children.
