Hello young lovers and good afternoon on this beautiful Valentine’s Day. Graduation is a beautifully odd thing. Now before you start thinking this is going to be a cynical rant on modern life and I’m just another product of the MTV generation moaning that life is boring, it’s not.

It appears I haven’t written a blog on here for 23 days. My last blog had somewhat of a serious tone halfway through it. I never meant to bring anybody down with it.

If you are feeling miserable today, please accept my apologies for I am feeling somewhat chipper (yeah, I just said ‘chipper’). I won't normally do a blog this brief. But today's blog is a bit of a cheat blog. A 'chog', if you will.

My original plan for this blog was to treat it like a chat with my barber and grin about the weather.

In my experience at Uni, students are very reluctant to part with a lot of cash in exchange for one alcoholic drink (unless of course it’s guaranteed to do damage).

While I was at Uni, I was somewhat of a cliché. I guess I’m not what you would consider a ‘bloke’. Roughly this time last year I was sweeping up glass off my hallway floor after a friend got “carried away” during a snow ball fight.

Since first going to University, leaving my family home and getting my first real taste of independence I, like many, have wanted to experience the whole world all at once.

In this blog I’m supposed to be talking about leaving university and entering the “real world”. But since being a resident of this place for several months now I’ve found it to be a little bit bonkers.

I’ve never really noticed it before, but pigs are everywhere.

Do you know what it’s like to live in constant fear? He stood on the corner, 6 foot four inches tall, slender, with curly hair, lightly kissed blonde by the sun. Nervous. Today I went... “Where are we goin' this fine morning?” Easter is a tricky one for me.

Although I have a somewhat slender frame, I do have a tendency to grow a pot belly during periods of excessive snacking and a lack of exercise. Two months ago I was sat on a student’s sofa, drinking a bottle of wine, playing Uno and waiting for the taxis to turn up.

I’m not quite sure why but recently I can’t stop thinking about the way I do things. The last three and a bit weeks have seen me attempt the impossible.

Yesterday was just a normal day.

*****

OK, so perhaps smashing the intros of every blog I’ve done over the last 12 months isn’t as cool or coherent as a highlights episode of Friends, Scrubs or ’Allo, ’Allo. But I certainly enjoyed writing it - just like every piece I’ve done.

Happy (One Year Anniversary) New Year to (Me) you all!
