POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman was the victim of a distraction burglary.
The incident happened on Wednesday, when a man entered a house on Davenwood, Upper Stratton, between 10am and 2pm, after telling the elderly occupant there was a fault with the kitchen taps. He then stole two purses containing cash.
