POLICE are hoping to contact a woman who was attacked by a gang in the town centre.
The victim was walking alone along Regent Street in the direction of Regent Circus around midnight on Thursday, January 20, when, after turning down an alleyway next to the Savoy public house towards the Wyvern theatre car park, where her car was, the group attacked her from behind and searched her pockets.
The woman, who is white and around 38 years old, with short black hair, was left with severe grazes to both her arms and face.
