The strains of Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman will sweep through a 1940s night as students step back in time to entertain.
The 1940s dance at Commonweal School, The Mall in Old Town is on February 8.
Marisa Howse from Cadley School of Dance will be taking a workshop to teach the waltz and foxtrot at the beginning of the dance, and then the Swindon Big Band will strike up some songs of the era.
Pupils, under the directorship of Miss Aniela Zylinski, acting head of department, will perform choir and some solo pieces.
There will be prizes for the best dressed 1940s outfits. Tickets are £5 and available from 01793 612727 or by email at aclarke@commonweal.co.uk.
