IT WILL be all about big hair, legwarmers and shoulder pads as some of the biggest names from the ‘80s take to the stage.

Sonia, Limahl and Hazell Dean are all performing at the Old Town Bowl in the first of the annual Bowl Concert series.

The Ultimate Eighties Music Experience takes place on June 4.

And following on from the success of a similar concert last summer, the organisers are expecting the event to be a sell-out.

Red-headed Liverpudlian Sonia, whose hits include You’ll Never Stop Me From Loving You and Better The Devil You Know, will be wowing the crowds, along with former Kajagoogoo lead singer Limahl,, who had a hit with Neverending Story.

Also taking to the stage will be Hazell Dean, who had chart success with Whatever I Do, Wherever I Go and Who’s Leaving Who.

One further act still needs to be confirmed.

Nicki Western, the marketing manager for the Bowl concerts, said: “The first ‘80s night last year was such a huge success that people were asking are we going to do one this year.

“It’s a really good atmosphere out in the open and people can bring their own food and make a real night of it.

“I think it will be even more successful this year, we had 900 people last year and I think this year it will sell out.

“Tickets have only just gone on sale and we’ve already sold some.”

Advance tickets cost £15, concessions cost £13 and a family ticket costs £45. The tenth ticket for all parties is free.

Tickets are available from the box office on 01793 614837, the Visitor Information Centre, in Regent Street, or online at www. swindon tickets.co.uk.

Gates will open at 5.30pam and the concert will start at 6pm.
