VETS in the town are hoping to find a new home for a cat whose owners no longer wanted him.

The cat was recently taken into the Thameswood vets on Purton Road by a member of the public and, after finding the cat had been identichiped, the vets managed to find the owner.

A spokesman for the vets said: "Unfortunatley it has since turned out his owner is not willing to take him back and is no longer in contact with us.

"This means we are looking for a home for a fit and healthy male, black and white cat.

"He has now been at the clinic for two weeks and has developed a great personality and is a loving and affectionate chap.

"We would be looking for a owner that has had previous experience with cats and who is willing to give him the time and affection he clearly thrives on. "

Anyone who thinks they can help out should call the clinic on 01793 526780.
