POLICE are keen to trace these two men after an incident in which a man was attacked with a dog chain.

The attack took place at 10pm as the victim was walking home from the Sun Inn along Shaftesbury Avenue at the junction with Queens Drive.

He was approached by two men who shouted abuse at him. One of them swung a dog chain at him a number of times and injured his face and arms.

The first attacker, who had the dog chain, was white, 15 to 18-years-old, with short gelled hair that was spiky at the front. He was of athletic build and 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in tall. He wore a light-coloured shirt under a dark jacket which was unzipped, and a pair of dark trousers, possibly jeans.

The second man was white, aged 15 to 18, and of slimmer build and slightly taller than the first one. He wore a dark top which was buttoned at the bottom over a light-coloured top and dark jeans.
