THIS year’s Race for Life will be launched in the town tomorrow.
And this year, Swindon women of all ages will have the chance to become poster girls by starring in a unique charity advert to launch the event.
The mums, daughters, grandmas, friends and workmates will appear in giant billboard posters to inspire others to ‘join the girls’ by entering the women-only fundraising event.
But unlike most advertising campaigns, there will be no auditions or screen tests for a shot at fame.
Instead, Race for Life’s ‘snap shot teams’ will be scouting for ‘faces’ on the street photographing women who pledge to take part in the event at Lydiard Park in May or July.
