Taw Hill village centre has been evacuated following a bomb scare this morning.
A call was made at about 10.30am to report a suspected bomb at Taw Hill Medical Practice.
All the shops in the area and St Francis School have been evacuated and more than 20 contractors have been ordered off the school site.
Police are not able to say how long the incident will continue but the whole area has been cordoned off while they await the arrival of specialist explosives teams.
