SWINDON'S Lib Dem leader Stan Pajak said he hoped that there would be no overall majority in the council so his party could hold the balance of power.
"The ideal situation would be that there would be no overall control so the Lib Dems would hold balance," he said.
“I'm hoping we’ll hold our seats that we currently have.
"There’s been changes so the Penhill seat has been absorbed in to Stratton, which will knock out one of our seats anyway.
"We are hoping to do well in Wroughton and in Ridgeway we came in second place last time and hopefully we’ll do well there again."
