THEY have won dozens of rosettes and trophies and even beat Britain’s Got Talent winner Ashleigh Butler at a competition.

And now dog trainer Ali Buck is hoping people across the town will take up the chance to get their paws on dog dancing lessons with her starting from the end of July.

Ali and dog Dexter, of Royal Wootton Bassett, have won about 100 rosettes and seven trophies together over the last two years.

“Dexter and I beat Ashleigh from Britain’s Got Talent last year in May at a show but that wasn’t with her dog Pusdey, that was with a collie,” she said. “I thought about entering Britain’s Got Talent and I had an audition but I didn’t go in the end. I am glad I didn’t. It is more important for me that we are judged by our peers. Ashleigh and Pudsey are perfect for it.

“They had audience appeal whereas we are working to hopefully have judges appeal.”

Ali, 46, who has been involved with dog training for nearly 20 years, said there is a secret to a successful dog dancing partnership.

“The main thing you have got to understand is you have got to make it happy. We don’t force the dogs to do anything,” she said.

Ali will be holding classes on July 22, August 19 with special guest Dima Yeremenko, September 30, October 21 and November 18, all at Lucy Pet Carer in Royal Wootton Bassett. For more email alibuck@dogdancing.biz.
