‘SPEND SPEND SPEND: The Viv Nicholson Story’ A Chocolate Theatre will be treading the boards at the Swindon Arts Centre on 26th to 28th July with their performance of SPEND SPEND SPEND: The Viv Nicholson Story Spend Spend Spend is a truly, gritty musical set in the 1950's, when Yorkshire housewife Viv Nicholson won £152,319 in the football pools, the equivalent of £5m today!

When a reporter asked her what she planned to do with her new fortune, she replied, "I'm going to spend, spend, spend!," which is exactly what she did.

Her rags-to-riches-to-rags-again story tragically takes her through five husbands, expensive sports cars, fur coats & a battle with alcohol, eventually resulting in bankruptcy where she loses everything!

Spend Spend Spend premiered in 1998 at the West Yorkshire Playhouse and won the Barclays Theatre Award for Best Musical of the Year Spend Spend Spend has been described by critics as; “Britain’s best musical with the grit & realism of Billy Elliot & Blood Brothers”
