GANDHI, Where’s Wally and a smurf were just some of the characters who could be seen at Coate Water yesterday afternoon.
About 100 people took part in a sponsored walk to help six-year-old Corey Cummings, who has cerebral palsy and needs an operation to help him walk. The family is trying to raise £24,000 for the operation at Frenchay Hospital, in Bristol.
His mum, Kelly, of Coate, said: “We have raised about £8,000 in total so far.”
Kody Bowler, seven, who is a pupil at Lawn Primary School with Corey is holding a sponsored silence today.
