JOBSEEKERS in Swindon aged up to 25 have an opportunity to join the next Prince’s Trust Team Programme, which starts next week.
Youth development charity Inner Flame delivers the Team Programme in partnership with The Prince’s Trust and Swindon College.
Earlier this year, participants took part in a week-long residential trip, community projects at Wizard Education and The Open Door Centre, and a two-week work placement.
They developed their job hunting skills and gained a nationally recognised qualification.
The Team Programme has been running across the UK for 22 years, and more than 143,000 young people have taken part. This year it is the first time in five years that it has been available in Swindon.
“Team is a great opportunity for young people who are feeling stuck, and are seriously committed to changing their lives” said David Wreathall, co-founder of Inner Flame.
“Participants get some excellent experience for their CV and to talk about at interview. Over 70 per cent of participants move on to a job, college or a substantial volunteering role which helps them to move towards paid work.”
The programme will be led by Sharon Sullivan, a professional trainer whose most recent assignment was teaching leadership in Romania.
