Work on the flood alleviation scheme in Haydon Wick is progressing well, say councillors.
Coun David Renard said that having spent five years trying to secure the works, he is delighted they are now moving on at good pace.
He said: “I am pleased with the progress of the works. Once completed, it will make such a difference to both the householders close to the brook but also those who use the footpaths adjacent to it. I’m really looking forward to seeing it when it’s finished.”
