Smoke flares have been thrown onto the pitch during the first half of today's home derby between Swindon Town and Bristol City.
At a match briefing police were warned that there was a possibility of flares and pitch invasions from Bristol City fans based on behaviour earlier this season.
In his live match report Tom Bassam, Swindon Advertiser chief sports writer, said at 3.07pm: "There's a smoke flare on the pitch from the City fans, this is madness."
