A driver died when a white Volkswagen Passat struck a tree near Malmesbury on Friday just after 3pm.
PC Lee Prince said: “A white Volkswagen Passat was seen being driven a long Ashton Road towards Minety.
“A short while later the same witnesses saw the car had struck a tree. Unfortunately the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Any witnesses to the collision are being urged to make contact with the officer involved in the case PC Barum or by calling 101 and quoting the log number 212 November 14.
