Video footage from real emergencies and a video of a patient telling their story about how Wiltshire Air Ambulance helped them will be shown at what is being billed as an AGM with a difference.

The public is invited to the annual general meeting on Wednesday, February 18, at the Corn Exchange, Devizes, foom 7pm to 8.30pm.

There will be opportunities to meet WAA paramedics, pilots and the charity team.

Information on volunteering and events being held to raise money for WAA, such as a Sahara trek and the local two-day White Horse Challenge, will also be available.

There will be a presentation on last year’s accounts and the crew will speak about achievements of 2014 and what 2015 will bring, as the service operates as a dedicated air ambulance for the first time using its state-of-the-art Bell 429 helicopter.

Trustees can be questioned by members of the public at the meeting.

Jill Crooks, WAA media coordinator, said: “We always like to give our supporters a night to remember. This will be our third AGM and having been involved in the planning of it I know there are a few surprises up our sleeve.”
