Christopher Alan Payne, 28, of Frobisher Drive, will face charges of causing criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 and racially aggravated criminal damage when he appears at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 11. The case was adjourned when he appeared at the court this morning.

Police have launched a witness appeal after an attempted robbery in Swindon.

The incident took place on Cricklade Road between 7.30pm and 7.45pm on Tuesday, May 27 when two youths approached a 16-year-old male and made threats to harm him unless he handed over his bag.
