More tributes have been paid to murdered Tom Rogers.

His family, Roy, Dawn and Karen Rogers said: "Even though we live overseas, we have all enjoyed regular contact with Tom. Words cannot describe the sadness and devastation we all feel at this time. We sincerely appreciate all of the thoughts, prayers and support we have received."

David Rogers, 35, the son of murdered Tom Rogers has paid tribute to his dad. He said: "I really feel his loss and will always miss my Dad."

The footpath where Tom Rogers, 60, was murdered last week is set to remain closed until the middle of this week.


Kai Connolly, 24, of County Road, who is accused of rape and sexual assault has been released on bail by a judge. He is said to have committed the alleged offences on the same woman between Thursday November 7 and Sunday November 10 last year. The case was adjourned until September 12.
