Smith beat William O'Connor 6-4 while Haines lost 6-1 to Andy Smith on the main stage in Dusseldorf.
Thamesdown Transport’s Operations Director, David Burch, has retired after almost 36 years at the bus company.
David joined Thamesdown in 1978 as Traffic Superintendent, when the company was part of the then Thamesdown Borough Council.
