A CARER who repeatedly breached a restraining order against his grandmother has been spared jail.
Aaron Fisher, 34, visited Iris Offley at her Highworth home on at least two occasions between June and July this year.
Fisher, who is a full-time carer for his mother, ‘abused’ his grandmother by hassling her for money, Swindon Magistrates’ Court heard.
A restraining order preventing him from visiting her unaccompanied was imposed at the crown court in August 2011 after he was convicted of harassing her. Mark Glendenning, defending, said Fisher had been going to his grandmother’s house for a chat and a cup of tea, and that she had been keen to keep seeing him.
Fisher, of Hazel Grove, Swindon, admitted breaching the restraining order. He was given a community order involving 100 hours of unpaid work and must pay £170 in costs.
In the future he can only visit his grandmother with another family member present.
