A PAINTING and decorating company in Swindon has been nominated to receive the Best UK Painter and Decorator award at the UK Trade Awards 2014.
Craig Brooks, of Craig Brooks Painting and Decorating, is also in the running to receive the overall award, The UK's Best Trader 2014.
Localtraders.com launched the UK Trade Awards 2014 to promote and champion the work of local traders all over the UK in a bid to try and change perceptions.
Craig began his decorating career 14 years ago and completed an apprenticeship at Swindon College in 2002. He said: “The awards are a great opportunity for different trades to be recognised for doing good work. Far too often we here about the cowboy builders that are damaging the image of UK trades.”
The top nominees for each trade will be invited to an awards ceremony.
