NORTH Wiltshire MP James Gray has welcomed the announcement that widows, widowers and surviving civil partners of all members of the Armed Forces pension scheme will now keep their pensions for life.
The Defence Secretary said that from April 1 next year the spouse or civil partner of all members of AFPS75 and any WPS widow will retain their pension for life if they have not surrendered it due to remarriage or cohabitation.
James said: “I am so pleased military personnel’s families have been recognised in this way.”
