SWINDON Supermarine manager Dave Webb feels that his team have only got themselves to blame for their 2-1 defeat to Larkhall Athletic in Southern League Division One South and West.
The Webb’s Wood Stadium side went in at half-time 1-0 up courtesy of a goal from defender Ross Adams. But last season’s Western League champions hit back in the second period with goals from Rob Hobbs and Tyler Sibbick.
“We made it tough on ourselves,” Webb told the Advertiser.
“In the first half we were in control, scored a goal and created a few more chances - we were comfortable.
“In the second half they (Larkhall) changed their shape and we just didn’t deal with it and we were overrun.”
Highworth Town were denied the chance to move second in the Hellenic League Premier Division when they were held to a goalless draw at Abingdon United.
Meanwhile, Shrivenham will be looking for local bragging rights tomorrow night when they entertain Wootton Bassett Town at Barrington Park.
