SWINDON Spitfires Under 15s clinched the Berks League Cup after a 4-2 win over Wokingham & Emmbrook.
Spitfires went into the game as favourites, having already beaten their opponents twice in the league this season but Wokingham started the game strongly.
However, Swindon were first to break the deadlock on 13 minutes after Wokingham failed to deal with a corner, Helana Butcher was the quickest to react firing the loose ball in at the near post.
Spitfires seemed a little more composed from the restart and five minutes later doubled their lead.
Natalie Goodright chased a loose ball forward and put the keeper under pressure and in the mix-up the ball found Brooke Stead who was able to chip the ball over the keeper.
Wokingham pulled a goal back before clipping the bar before half time.
In the second half Spits came out flying from kick off, Goodright, Butcher, Stead and Annabel Hill combining to put them 3-1 up within a minute of the restart.
Chloe Mason hit the bar before10 minutes from time Ellie Lankester made it 4-1 fter finding herself unmarked. Wokingham managed to pull one back in the last minute.
