SWINDON Supermarine boss Lee Spalding says the signing of defender Baboucarr Jarra signals the end of his transfer business at the Webbswood Stadium

Jarra joins from FA Vase winners Thatcham Town, with whom he enjoyed a tremendous year, where he was able to feature 54 times for the club, in which they conceded 25 times in 38 league games.

Spalding, who watched his side come through with a pre-season win over Hashtag United at the weekend as they kick-started their preparation for their season in the Southern League Premier Division, believes the defender will be a great help to his side.

“I am really pleased to add Babacarr Jarra to the squad,” said Spalding.

“Jarra he is another good defender and centre half who will bring great completion to the defensive unit.”

As a player, Spalding says Jarra will provide an imposing figure at the heart of Marine’s backline next season.

“He is a quick determined defender who has a real presence about him, he wants to defend and he is more than capable of keeping clean sheets.

“He’s he is looking forward to the challenge of the season ahead at Swindon Supermarine.”

Supermarine are back in pre-season action again at the weekend as they continue their preparation, they host Wealdstone.
