THERE has often been people and groups who seek power by identifying a minority, attributing behaviour patterns to them and then blaming that minority for society's ills. It can be anything that identifies the target group Jews, Catholics, skin colour, anything provided the remaining community can be persuaded they are okay as they are not one of them.

We deal with this best when we unite to expose the nonsense of the proposition that any small group can be the cause of failure and we ensure that there is no disadvantaged underclass in society that can be exploited by convincing them they are victims of some unseen force.

In Swindon we have made a start in dealing with the BNP but the key to their defeat is unity.

Democracy is our defence, at the ballot box on May 4. I urge all good people to reject the BNP in Swindon and reject those who would exploit the BNP's presence in Swindon. Unite and fight.
