SWINDON'S Tilly Gray won her second bronze medal of the British Gas Swimming Championships on Saturday.

The butterfly star, who was third in the 200m on Thursday, followed that up with another bronze in the 100m showdown at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

Gray touched the wall in 59.40 seconds as hot favourite Jemma Lowe triumphed in 58.02 seconds - a time good enough to take the latter to the World Championships - with Rachael Kelly second in 58.49 seconds.

The former Swindon Dolphin swimmer dedicated the performance to her grandfather, who died a year ago.

Gray turned down the chance for a third medal in the 50m fly yesterday in order to rest up before returning to training today.

The 21-year-old has her sights firmly focused on the Commonwealth Games next year.

Elsewhere, fourteen-year-old Swindon Dolphin starlet Craig Harris clocked 1:23.62 in MC 100m breaststroke heats but missed out on the final.

Swindon-born Hannah Miley won bronze in the 200m individual medley (2:12.77).

The decorated Scot had won six 200m medley titles in a row at the British Championships but that stranglehold was finally broken.

Sophie Allen took top spot in 2:11.34 and the up-and-coming Siobhan-Marie O'Connor was just behind her in second (2:12.12).

In addition to finishing fourth in the 400m freestyle on Sunday as Jazz Carlin triumphed, Miley was almost immediately back in the pool for the 200m breaststroke.

Understandably, she was off the pace for medals in an event she does not favour, finishing in 2:32.28.

Stacey Tadd took gold in 2:27.52. Miley will now focus on the 400m individual medley at the World Championships, her top event and one she achieved a silver medal in at Shanghai in 2011.
