MASSIMO Luongo became a full-time Swindon Town player at the weekend after the Robins splashed out £400,000 to sign the midfielder from Tottenham.

In a massive coup for the Robins, the Australian turned his season-long loan in Wiltshire into a permanent switch on Saturday, signing a three-year deal at the County Ground.

An option of a fourth year is believed to have been included in the contract.

The playmaker is unlikely to be Town’s only signing before the summer transfer window closes at 11pm this evening, however.

Millwall forward Dany N’Guessan is expected to be unveiled as another addition to the Robins’ frontline.

Town have been chasing N’Guessan for several weeks and the striker was not involved in the Lions’ clash with Brighton at the weekend.

N’Guessan will be Swindon’s final acquisition this summer, though there could be exits from the County Ground on deadline day.

Meanwhile, Egyptian international striker Mohamed El Gabas has put pen to paper on a short-term contract at the County Ground.

El Gabas impressed during a brief trial at Liddington last week and, as revealed on www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk on Saturday, has signed a deal until January, with the club holding an option to extend his stay by a further 18 months.
