SWINDON Town have postponed their trip to Chesterfield on Saturday, September 6 due to international call-ups.

The club have moved to call the match off after receiving the paperwork to confirm Yaser Kasim's inclusion in the Iraq squad to face Peru on September 5 in Dubai.

County Ground manager Mark Cooper said on Saturday that he would be 'daft' to go into the match without midfielders Kasim, Massimo Luongo and wing-back Brad Smith, who have been called into the Australia squad.

Could see this coming, but tough on some fans who have already paid for advance rail tickets who cannot be refunded.

Where is the breaking news that Cooper does not expect to make any new signing as he thinks it will go right until the wire on transfer deadline day

Fair point, expensive enough on the trains even when you buy in advance and if a game gets moved you're screwed (I always have this run through my head if staying at a hotel for an away game in winter - will the weather hold up, can I cancel the room if needs be etc).

Advance rail ticket from where I am up to Wolverhamton and back last season still cost over fifty quid, would've been gutted if the game was moved!
