JOE Breet claimed title-winning Lechlade’s celebration party is on hold as they bid to finish a successful season on a high note.

Lechlade won the Glos/Wilts Division with a 56-run win over Warminster last Saturday.

But although the club is a happy camp, Breet said the party won’t start until after the season finale against Gloucester City Wignet at the Manor Ground on Saturday.

“The club is buzzing after winning the league last weekend,” Breet said.

“But the real celebration was put on hold as we want to finish on a high at home and then celebrate our title with the whole club.”

Breet and the first XI coach Luke Sellers have named an unchanged side for the Gloucester City match.

In the build up, Sellers said that he feels everyone in the team should be proud of their contribution this season.

“A lot of people have put in a lot of effort off the field to get the team where we are.

“Hopefully we as a team have justified the chairman’s and the committee’s faith and hard work and it will be great to celebrate our success all together as a club after the game on Saturday.

“Everybody in the team at some point this season has contributed to our success and the boys should be very proud of what we have achieved.

“We have a very talented squad and one that I am confident will be able to compete at the next level and I firmly believe that the party at Lechlade has only just begun.”
