SCOTTISH Television is to get between #5.6m and #7.1m as its share of

the proceeds from the sale of TV Times and other magazines owned by

Independent Television Productions to publishers Reed International.

The decision to sell for #113m cash, first announced at the end of

May, has been ratified by the ITV council.

STV's percentage of the total is 5.46%, calculated on the basis of the

station's share of national advertising revenue. In addition the

independent television companies will share a pre-sale dividend of #10m.

Reed is also committed to paying quarterly royalties of #2m until the

end of 1992, for as long as ITP retains the exclusive right to publish

advance programme listings.

The book value of STV's holding in ITP was only #8700 but #827,152 of

net profits was attributed to it last year.
