SAMOA have made nine changes, of which four are positional, to the team that lost 21-15 to Fiji in July's World Cup qualifier. Semo Sititi, the captain and Border Reivers' back-row, moves from No.8 to the blindside, making way for Daniel Farani.

Mahonori Schwalger comes in at hooker, while Daniel Leo moves from five to four in place of the Reivers' injured lock, Opeta Palepoi. Jonathon Faamatuainu joins Leo in the second row while, in the back line, Garrick Cowley comes in at scrum-half, former Borderer Tanner Vili makes a direct swop with Roger Warren at full-back and stand-off, and Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu comes in at inside-centre.

There are only four survivors from Samoa's most recent meeting with Scotland in June 2004. Roger Warren, winger Lome Faatau, Tanner Vili, and Sititi. Scotland won 38-3 in Wellington, New Zealand.
