FORMER Swindon Town defender Aden Flint has completed his move to Middlesbrough from fellow Championship side Bristol City - triggering a likely cash boost for Swindon Town.

Flint, 29, became Boro’s second signing of the summer, signing a four-year contract with Tony Pulis' side.

The north east club revealed that, due to the terms of the deal, they were unable to disclose the fee, but reports have indicated it could rise to as much as £7 million.

That could provide Town with an injection of near £1 million thanks to the sell on clause believed to be around 20 per cent.

Flint joined Bristol City from Swindon Town in 2013 and was named in the League One Team of the Year in 2014/15 as the club won the Football League Trophy and promotion to the Championship.

He was named The Robins’ Player of the Year the following two campaigns and scored nine goals in 46 appearances last term as City pushed for promotion and reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
