SWINDON Robins team manager Alun Rossiter praised his side’s late efforts in tonight's timely 50-40 win against Wolverhampton Wolves at the Abbey Stadium.

A tapes to flag win for Tobiasz Musielak in heat 15 denied Pete Adams’ men a consolation league point while King’s Lynn’s 49-41 win against Somerset Rebels at the Adrian Flux Arena ensured the Robins went back to the top of the SGB Premiership table.

While moving back to the top of the table is of little importance to Rossiter, the Swindon boss highlighted the positive team spirit in the Robins camp following a second home victory on the spin.

He said: “We spoke to the boys and touched on how the track wasn’t acceptable last week.

“The track still isn’t perfect, but in the next few weeks we’ll endeavour to ensure it’s back to top tune.

“The talk before the meeting took place to make sure we won, but we also wanted to make sure Wolverhampton didn’t leave here with any points.

“At the moment we’re struggling on the road. We’re not sure why, we’ve got a good top five and at King’s Lynn I thought we deserved a point.

“But it didn’t go our way and now we move onto a tough meeting against Somerset on Wednesday.

“We’ve had great support this year and we are pushing social media.

“It was an important win for us, and we’re all pulling together and working hard as a unit and a team.”
