Swindon Advertiser:

ONE TO WATCH: Kieran Agard

KIERAN Agard has had to rely on penalties to find the back of the net so far this season, with his two goals both coming from 12 yards.

The most recent of those made the difference for Milton Keynes Dons in League Two last weekend as it was the only goal of the game as boss Paul Tisdale claimed a 1-0 over his old club Exeter City.

Agard is currently in his third season at Stadium MK and will be hoping for a better return than in 2017-18 where he notched only eight times in 47 appearances.

The 28-year-old has been given a show of faith by Tisdale since his arrival the club, handing Agard a starting spot in all five league games so far this term.

Agard was a thorn in Town’s side the last time the two teams were in the same division, netting in both of the pair’s meetings in 2016-17.

KEY BATTLE: Jermaine McGlashan v George Williams

MILTON Keynes Dons’ success in the early part of the season has been built on a solid defensive effort, with Paul Tisdale’s side conceding only two goals en route to collecting 11 points from their five league games.

The Dons have kept four clean sheets in seven games in all competitions, with the presence of George Williams at the back the consistent theme as he is one of only two players to play every game so far.

Williams will likely play on the side of a three-man MK defence, so a player with the pace of Jermaine McGlashan could well provide the chief threat to the visitors on Saturday.
