THE two Wroughton sides in the Under 18 division were celebrating for different reasons after the weekend's matches.

Wroughton A went to the top of the table with an 8-1 home victory over a spirited Wickham side.

Scorers for Wroughton were Dan Hall (4), Dane Moulden (3) and Matt Povey.

As the A side went to the top, the B side, bottom of the table, got their first points of the season with a 3-2 win at Wootton Bassett B.

Bassett took the lead when Tyron Connely scored, but just before the break Josh Goldworthy equalised.

In the second half a long through ball forced a Wroughton defender into an own goal, but with 16 minutes remaining Wroughton got a deserved equaliser when Dale Quince drove the ball home from 20 yards.

In the closing minutes a mix-up at the back allowed Goldy Kumar to grab the winner from close range for Wroughton.

Both keepers turned in good performances to keep the game between Ferndale and Brunel level.

Brunel took the lead, then Ferndale missed a penalty and several other chances before Chris Avery equalised.

Both teams had chances in the second half but failed to convert them and the score remained at 1-1.

Under 14 Division One

Highworth maintained their spot at the top of the league with a convincing 8-2 win over Stratton Youth. On target for Highworth were Danny Hale (4), Sam Farr (2), and one each for Josh Morse and Eliot Wheatley.

Croft Juniors were held 2-2 at home by Penhill Allstars. Ben Peterson scored both goals for Croft.

Under 14 Division Two

Shaw went ahead at Fairford through Ieuan Walton and Josh Woods. Fairford came back into the game with a goal but Shaw held on for a 2-1 victory.

Penhill entertained Hungerford and broke the deadlock after 20 minutes with an excellent free-kick by Ryan Beauchamp.

Shane Williams netted a second but Hungerford pulled one back to make it 2-1 at the break.

In the second half, Keegan scored two more and Hungerford put a penalty over the bar to see Penhill run out 4-1 winners.

Under 14 Division Three

Debutant Kurt Giddings set up three goals, and terrific defending by Jake Tunmore ensured Old Town Utd B kept up their 100 per cent record with a 3-2 victory over Blunsdon Colts. Tom Ballard scored two for Old Town and a quality finish from James Relen sealed the three points.

Under 13 Division one Croft A grabbed an impressive 10-3 win at Stratton Youth, with Connor Gallagher and Josh Fowler bagging hat-tricks. James Tranter netted two, and Ross Howie and Sam Matthews added one apiece.

Under 13 Division Two

A close match between league leaders Tetbury and Purton Youth ended in a 4-3 win for Purton.

It was 1-1 at half time, thanks to a penalty to each side. Jack Duffy scored his for Purton and Tetbury scored from the rebound after the Purton keeper had saved the initial attempt.

Purton then built up a 3-1 lead through Daniel Leyland and a Braedon Cleverly corner. Tetbury came back with two goals themselves before Purton forced an own goal two minutes from the end to seal the win.

Shrivenham & Watchfield Royals beat Stratton Juniors 3-1. Elliot Day scored two of the goals and Markus Rutter the other one. Day's second was a strike from the halfway line.

Under 13 Division Three

Greenmeadow fought back after being two goals down at Lydiard to draw 2-2, with goals from Jack Townsend and Liam Jones.

All the goals were scored in the first half in an entertaining game between Croft Juniors and Wanborough.

Croft took a two-goal lead, before Ben Orchard and Matt Raymond levelled the score for Wanborough. In spite of plenty of goalmouth action in the second half, neither side managed to find the net again.

Under 12 Division One The first of two scheduled matches last weekend for Cricklade Youth, against Coleshill Juniors, proved to be end-to-end action.

The first goal went to Cricklade, thanks to an excellent shot from Niall Stockwell.

Coleshill equalised inside five minutes, followed by a clever chip by Cricklade's Tayten Nyahwa and another leveller for Coleshill.

After half-time, Cricklade scored three more through Stockwell, Dominic Hiscock and Harrison Archer, to make the final score 5-2.

The second fixture, against Wroughton, was tougher for Cricklade, who had only 11 players available.

However, the team gave 100 per cent for the full 60 minutes, losing 4-2.

Cricklade scorers were Thomas O'Dell and Harrison Archer.

Under 12 Division Two

Eldene Rangers started well at home to Malmesbury, taking an early lead. Eldene continued the pressure after the break, making the most of their opportunities and running out 4-0 winners.

FC Abbey Meads put in a strong team performance for their 7-1 victory at Purton. Harvey Barrow opened the scoring for Abbey Meads and they extended their lead to 6-1 at the interval.

With a solid Abbey Meads defence, Purton were unable to score again and the visitors added another to wrap it up, with five goals from Thomas Baldwin and two from Harvey Barrow.

Croft A raced into a two-goal lead against Croft B, with goals from Connor Howie and George Slade.

Second half strikes from skipper Andrew McNaught, a penalty, and a 25-yarder from Joseph Sellars saw the A team increase the lead before Arun Parmar pulled one back for the hosts.

Matt Sprules then scored in the last minute to complete the scoring and wrap up the win 5-1 for Croft A.

Under 12 Division Three

A storming first half saw Oaksey's Lewis Beattie nab a hat-trick after an opener from Ryan Adams, before Highworth replied. Luke Nixon made it 5-1 to Oaksey.

Lambourn battled away against Tetbury, and sub William Dowling came on and scored to put them 1-0 up at half-time. After the break, Thomas Rackham broke away and made it 2-0. Tetbury pulled a goal back with 10 minutes to go.

Under 11 North

Two goals in each half secured the win for Blueprint Chiseldon at Robins. Robins, despite pulling one back through Kennedy Gallagher to make it 2-1, could not find the equaliser before Chiseldon extended their lead to 4-1 at the final whistle.

Lydiard Youth increased their lead at the top with a 13-1 win at Hungerford Town. Jack Lowers scored four, Jacob Davidge and Louis Freeguard-Morton both found the net twice, with single goals for Josh Bolton, Kieron O'Daly, Ed Evans, Jamie Towers and Matthew Rutland.

Under 11 West

Wootton Bassett entertained Croft, the visitors scored three times, through Bradley Pearce (2), and James Sims, to run out 3-0 winners.

Wroughton began well at Highworth, with Grant Sanders scoring. Ben Stratford headed a second and Sanders completed the scoring.

White Horse Juniors won 4-0 against Stratton Youth with two goals in each half.

The goals came from Theo Murphy (2), Tom Fry and Robin Batson.

Under 11 Central

Four first half goals by George Lybech-Harris helped to set Shrivenham & Watchfield Royals up for an 8-1 win over Wanborough. Adam Bartlett added two more, with Liam Ridley and Tom Bazen getting one apiece.

Greenmeadow grabbed a 1-1 draw at Marlborough thanks to a Jake Giles goal.

Under 10 North

In the top of the table clash between Cirencester G and Swindon Rangers A, an early Jake Evans goal gave Rangers the lead before half-time.

Rangers' second came from Luke Neves, and a man of the match performance from Ryan Morgan, and fine goalkeeping by Adam Godsell, ensured Rangers kept their 10th clean sheet of the season to finish 2-0 winners.

Under 10 West

FC Abbey Meads defeated a very determined Wroughton side by 3-2. Their goals came from Daniel West, their man of the match Jack Uzzell, and Mikey Ejsmont.

Swindon Rangers B managed to beat a determined Hungerford side 6-3.

Rangers went in 4-1 up at half time, thanks to two goals from Matthew Jones and one each from Jake Tyson and Reece Cobb.

Despite Hungerford adding two more in the second half, Rangers sealed the win with Jake Dodwell getting his first goal of the season and Jones completing his hat-trick.

Liden looked the better side for the first three-quarters of their match against Highworth. Liden defender Conor Mills opened the scoring, but Harry Buckley equalised. After several goalmouth scrambles, Sam Downs grabbed the winner for Highworth.

In a competitive match Shaw A edged out Eldene Rangers thanks to a Connor Wykeham-Martin long range shot.

Under 10 Central

Blunsdon opened the scoring against Brinkworth Cats, but Luke Davis equalised.

In the second half Maxwell Luffman put Cats ahead and they added two more through Tom Corscadden and Martin Sinclair.

Greenmeadow bagged a valuable 5-1 away win at Ashton Keynes, thanks to goals from Ryan Lovitt (2), Tyler Johnson, Ben Whittingham and Connor Middleton.

Under 9 North

Lydiard were quickly three up against Swindon Soccer Skills, thanks to a Joe Hooper hat-trick.

Swindon replied just before the interval and then dominated the second half. But despite hitting the post and crossbar on several occasions, it remained at 3-1 to Lydiard.

Purton started off brightly against Stratton Juniors and scored an excellent opener. Gradually Stratton clawed their way back into the game, forcing some fine saves from the Purton keeper, before two goals from Jordan Morris and one from Kieran Moran saw them win 3-1.

Greenmeadow went down 5-2 to Wickham Wanderers, with Brandon Watts scoring both Greenmeadow goals.

Under 9 West

Two goals from Owen Smith and one each from Camberk Benning and Ellis Whittington helped Blunsdon Colts to a 4-1 win against Croft Juniors.

Ramsbury took three away points at Old Town Utd with a 7-0 victory. On target for Ramsbury were George Lance (5), and David West (2).

Wroughton dominated their game at Cricklade, winning 12-1. Their goals came from six of the outfield players, including four for Callum Wilkinson.

Wroughton's other goals came from Jordan Lea (2), Jack Whitehead (2), Lewis Coppock, Stuart Sloan, Drew Hampshire, and an own goal.

Cricklade's consolation came from the penalty spot.

Under 9 Central

Shaw beat Pewsham 6-0. On target were Henry Lovegrove (2), Owain Walton (2), Sean Robson and Connor Adams.

Penhill Knights notched up another victory, this time over South Cerney.

Penhill went ahead through a Ryan Meader-Harris, who then scored two more to make it 3-0 at half-time.

South Cerney pegged a goal back but the game finished 3-1.

Under 9 South

Stratton B had a tough away game at Hungerford. Ryan Skinner, Lewis Wray and Bradley Marsh made it 3-0 to Stratton at the break.

In the second half, Hungerford fought back to 3-2, before Wray eventually sealed the win for Stratton at 4-2.

Ferndale Rodbourne dominated against Ashton Keynes, winning 7-0 with goals from Glen Walker (4) and one each for Declan Harris, Joshua Iles and Harry Skinner.

In a close game at Ramsbury, the home side took a two-goal lead before Callum Bragg scored for Shaw.

Ramsbury then scored a third and, despite Bragg netting another, Ramsbury held out for a 3-2 win.
