SUPERMARINE: It's Bully for you Marine

SUPERMARINE have swooped to sign former Swindon Town goalkeeper Matt Bulman from rivals Cirencester Town.

Bulman's heroics between the posts were one of the few highlights for Cirencester last season as the club were relegated from the Southern League Premier Division, and Marine manager Mark Collier was delighted to get his man.

"When somebody of Bully's calibre becomes available you have to go out and sign them," said Collier, who has also added former Clevedon Town striker Steve Cook to his Hunts Copse squad.

"Bully is not just an excellent goalkeeper, but a real character in the dressing room too.

"Tom King was my player of the season last year so to have two goalkeepers of that standard is a real bonus. They will both be pushing hard for a starting place."

Both Bulman and Cook have penned one-year deals with the South Marston side as Collier looks to shape his team for next season.

The capture of Cook will add depth to an already burgeoning forward line, but the manager insists a sizeable squad will be vital.

"We don't have a reserve team here at Supermarine so it's important that we have competition for places," he said.

"Steve knows the situation and he will have to fight for his shirt like everyone else.

"But he is a proven goalscorer and it shows we are looking to move forward by bringing him to the club.'' Meanwhile, Cirencester Town captain Chris Collins has left the Corinium Stadium to sign for Clevedon Town, but the Centurions have added Highworth's Lee Spalding to their squad.
