Swindon Harriers enjoyed a successful summer after making the Regional Finals of the UK Youth Development League Lower Age and were runners-up in the Wessex League.

Around 200 young athletes competed across four different age groups, U11, U13, U15, and U17, with boys and girls teams fielded for each age groups, as the Swindon Harriers competed in the UK Youth Development League Lower Age (YDL) and Wessex League competitions.

For a second successive year the Harriers were able to reach the Regional Finals of the YDL Lower Age, as well as coming a narrow second to Basingstoke in the Wessex League title stakes in what was overall a successful summer for the teams.

In addition to success at the lower age groups, multiple members of the U17 team were able to step up and contribute well to the club’s promotion-winning Southern League campaign.

In terms of performance for the teams, Tamiah Roswell, Archie Hogan, Freya McMeeking, Ethan Bryon, Holly Scott, Oakley Hogan, Laila-Jae Belgrave and Alexander Bentley were the top points scorers in their respective age groups for the Harriers.
