The EFL has recognised the efforts of the Swindon Town FC Community Foundation.

The charitable arm scooped the Community Club of the Season accolade for League Two at this year's EFL awards.

This success has built on previously being awarded for Project of the Season in 2022, and Community Club of the Season in 2023.

In the last year, Swindon Town Community Foundation engaged in 3,820 sessions through a variety of projects and activities in the local area, totalling 2,354 hours of delivery.

There were also 2,377 school participants in Primary Stars sessions over the last year, signifying the community engagement across Swindon.

West Bromwich Albion and Charlton Athletic were also winners.

A spokesperson for the EFL said that the three winners 'demonstrated a variety of powerful, far-reaching community programmes in response to local need.'

They added: "Swindon Town was the standout in League Two, demonstrating a commitment to continuously develop and improve an already well-executed portfolio of projects and activities, from helping refugees integrate into the local area to tackling loneliness."
