GOALS from Alan Griffin and summer signing Mark Barnes were not enough to prevent a second pre-season friendly defeat for Swindon Supermarine last night.
The Hunts Copse outfit lost 3-2 at Hellenic Premier side Wantage Town with the hosts coming back from a goal down at half time.
Richard Clayton opened the scoring for Wantage early on before Griffin and Barnes scored in quick succession mid-way through the half.
Sean McKeon equalised not long after the break and Richard Guy condemned Supermarine to defeat as he lobbed the winner with several minutes left.
Supermarine's next friendly is against Swindon Town at Hunts Copse on Wednesday (kick-off 7.30pm).
