The Under-15 section provided the best drama in the weekend’s junior football - and none more so than the Division Three match between Marlborough and Wanborough.

Marlborough controlled the first half, taking a 3-0 lead, but two goals from Matt Cousins and one from Jonny Leighfield got Wanborough back in the game after the break.

Then Marlborough regained the lead, only for two late goals from Dom Morgan to complete Wanborough’s amazing comeback and give them a 5-4 win.

There was also excitement in the Second Divison, where a see-saw game between Purton and Coleshill Juniors ended in a 3-3 draw.

Coleshill took a two-goal lead, before Purton went ahead through Joe Hiscock, Josh Fail and an own goal. But Coleshill weren’t finished, and equalised in the last minute.

Under 9 League Cup

Four goals from Eloise Hayward and two from Max Morland ensured Highworth Town Juniors T got their cup campaign off to a good start against Cricklade Youth.

Wootton Bassett Town were beaten 2-0 by Shrivenham & Watchfield in a close encounter that was eventually settled by goals from Samuel Lewis and Nathan Bernhardt.

Purton Youth A went goal-crazy against Marlborough Town, winning 21-1, with goals from Mitchell Cremin (9), George Sawford (8), Hamsa Amaan (2) and Jack Harper (2).

Under 10 League Cup

Cirencester Town took the honours against Wroughton Youth. Wroughton were 2-0 up at half-time, with goals from Brandon Duddy and Mason Burke, but Cirencester turned the tables in the second half, winning 3-2.

Lydiard Youth B played some excellent football against Calne B, with Charlie Emmerson grabbing three goals and Daniel Hulse the other in a 4-0 win.

Chiseldon were knocked out by Croft Juniors B, but not without a fight. They battled back from 5-1 down before losing 6-4. The goalscorers for Chiseldon were Josh Baker (2), Gavin Riccalton and Matthew Talbot.

Ferndale Rodbourne edged past Highworth Town Juniors J with the odd goal in seven. Ferndale went two up early on through goals from Bailey Fisher and Callum Ratcliffe, before Highworth fought back to lead 3-2 at half-time. Callum Ratcliffe completed a hat-trick with two goals in the second half to earn Ferndale their narrow victory.

Greenmeadow went down 9-1 to FC Chippenham. Lee Giles scored the only goal for Greenmeadow.

Wanborough pulled off a victory over Highworth Town Juniors H, despite having been a goal down at the break. An own goal and a deflected William Crisp strike saw Wanborough through 2-1.

Under 11 League Cup

Croft Juniors progressed to the next round thanks to a 3-0 victory over Highworth Town Juniors H.

Croft edged an even first half, thanks to a good team goal finished by Joseph Kirby, and an opportunist effort by Scott Hartley. Croft withstood second-half Highworth pressure well and broke away in injury time to score a third through Joseph Kirby.

Under 11 Division One

Liden Community A won an enthralling encounter 4-3 against Hungerford Town. Scorers for Liden were Blake Hutchings, Lewis Maule and Kai Tonkin (2).

Wroughton Youth went top of the table after a 3-0 victory over Blunsdon Colts. Connor Stack, Oliver While and Kye Robinson scored for Wroughton.

Under 11 Division Two

Shaw proved too strong against Wanborough, netting at regular intervals in their 10-1 win.

The Shaw scorers were Owain Walton (4), Connor Adams (2), Luke Savory (2), Daniel Grieve and Nathan Harris. Wanborough gave a spirited performance, and were rewarded by a Tom Head spot kick.

Under 11 Division Three

Liden Community B continued their impressive start to the season against Ashton Keynes, scoring 17 times.

The goals came from Aiden Bennett (6), Dillon Gibbs (4), Anthony Camillo Vaz (3), Kalumn Arnold (2), Derren Vowles and Brandon Boustred.

Chiseldon lost 4-2 to Penhill Allstars in an end-to-end game. The Chiseldon scorers were Jack Karpinski and Scott Perrett.

Shrivenham & Watchfield continued their good start to the season with a comfortable 4-0 away win at Greenmeadow B. Second half strikes from Bradley Marsh and Harvey Keeble complemented two first half goals from Ryan Skinner for Shrivenham.

Highworth Town Juniors T fought back from 2-0 down at half-time against Stratton Youth and were rewarded with a consolation goal from Jason Budworth in a 2-1 defeat.

Under 12 Division One

Lydiard Youth A made it three wins out of three with a 5-2 victory over Shaw.

Alex Dinsmore scored his third hat-trick in successive matches, and goals from Will Thorne and Brad Houston secured the points.

Lydiard Youth B overcame Wanborough 4-2 to record their first win of the season. Elliot Passmore netted a hat-trick and Aidan Thompson was also on the scoresheet for the home team. Wanborough’s replies came from Luke Midwinter and Taylor Smague.

The points were shared between FC Abbeymeads and AFC Newbury. Will Richardson opened the scoring for Abbeymeads and Shaun White added a second with a close range header. Newbury rallied late in the game to score twice in the last five minutes.

Eldene Rangers lost 4-1 to Cirencester Town, Tyler Cobb grabbing Eldene’s only goal.

Under 12 Division Two

Coleview Juniors edged out Cricklade Youth 3-2. Coleview won the match in the first half, taking a 3-1 lead to the break through Harvey Ritchie, Cameron Sadler and Billy Paget. Cricklade pulled one back in the second half, but it was not enough.

Brinkworth Cats A ran out 8-1 winners over Purton with goals from Luke Whitmarsh, Jake Covey, Danny Wykes (2), Nathan Groom, Jacob Botterill and Josh Harris (2).

Under 12 Division Three

Greenmeadow D took on Wroughton Youth and seized the initiative through Callum Maslin. Further goals from Maslin and Daryl Mapstone looked to have won the tie, but Wroughton pulled one back and the match finished 3-1.

Highworth Town Juniors J secured a 4-1 victory over Greenmeadow P, with strikes from Alex Cook (2), Liam Lewis and Kane Blake. Green-meadow’s goalscorer was James Webb.

Pinehurst prevailed 7-5 over South Cerney, thanks to goals from Kyle Bowyer (3) and Connor Middleton (4).

South Swindon went in at the break 4-2 up against Blunsdon Colts, but a gritty performance from Blundson in the second half resulted in a 4-4 draw. The Blunsdon scorers were Billy Gibbs (2), Liam Yeates and Yezan Amawi.

Under 13 League Cup

In a thrilling cup tie, Croft Juniors took an early lead against Wootton Bassett Town B through Alex White.

Bassett came back strongly in the second half to equalise and take the game into extra-time, but White popped up with a neat header to put Croft through.

Under 13 Division One

ASC Youth made it nine points from nine, scoring ten times against Liden Community. Keiran O’Daly grabbed six, with other goals from Jack Lowers (2), Aaron Sawyer and Josh Bolton. This followed a 7-1 midweek victory by ASC Youth against Purton. Four goals from Ed Evans and one each from Joe English, Kieran O' Daly and Jamie Towers sealed the win.

Under 13 Division Two

Swindon Rangers secured their second away win in two days with a 9-0 midweek victory at Shrivenham & Watchfield. As well as an own goal, the scorers for Rangers were Jack Steed (2), Ollie Hunt and Luke Neves, with Ryan Morgan, Charley Gillett and Jonathan Peachey-Score (2) each netting their first of the season.

FC Abbeymeads came out 3-1 winners in a close game against Greenmeadow B. Goalscorers for Abbeymeads were Alasdair Little (2) and Alex Daniels.

Under 13 Division Three

Old Town United got back to winning ways with a solid 7-0 victory at home to Shaw.

Old Town’s goalscorers were Bradley Keene (2), Donal Mann, Adam Bertram, Thomas Whitham, Jacob Green and Joseph Ouldridge.

Under 14 League Cup

Northern Lights S had a difficult game against Wootton Bassett Town - last year’s finalists - eventually losing 9-1 - their consolation a fine headed goal from captain Matty Prictor.

Under 14 Division One

Croft Juniors A came away from Liden Community with the points courtesy of a 5-2 victory. The Croft goalscorers were Matt Sprules (2), Tyler Rudman (2) and George Slade.

Under 15 Division One

Greenmeadow A overwhelmed Tetbury Town 8-2. Jack Allen netted a first half hat-trick for Greenmeadow whilst Mason Karol, Connor Waldon, Jack Gilder (2) and Callum Fitzgerald added the others.

Under 15 Division Three

Penhill Knights went top with a 9-3 home win against Stratton Youth. The Penhill scorers were Connor Cooke, Sorbit Gurung (3), Josh Telling (2), Ryan King and Chester Dolisznyj (2).

Under 16 Division One

FC Chippenham drew 3-3 with AFC Barbury.

Matt Coote opened the scoring for Chippenham before Jack Windell and Mike Ranger (2) put Barbury 3-1 up. However, Jamie Walker scored twice Chippenham to level the match.

Under 16 Division Two

Greenmeadow A maintained their impressive unbeaten start to the season with a convincing 3-0 win against Blunsdon Colts, Chris Jones and Jake Bailey getting on the scoresheet, along with an own goal.

Under 17/18 Division Two

Wootton Bassett Town C overcame Tetbury Town 5-0 with a composed display of passing football.

Goals came from Jacob Hayden (2), Brad Hooper, Danny Hale and Joe Shepherd to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
