CHIPPENHAM Town have yet to re-sign striker Alan Griffin ahead of their big FA Cup clash with Paulton Rovers tomorrow.
Swindon Supermarine secretary Judi Moore told the Advertiser that the transfer has not been completed despite media reports to the contrary.
The Bluebirds would have had to do without the giant front man at Winterfield Road tomorrow even if he had signed, as he is currently suspended.
Chippenham could set up a tie with a League One club such as Swindon Town or Leeds United if they win, as well as scooping £12,500 in prize money.
Bluebirds boss Adie Mings said: “This is probably one of the biggest games I’ve had yet as manager along with the play-off semi-final at Halesowen.
“It’s great that we’ve got this far but the main thing now is to get even further.”
Elsewhere, Swindon Supermarine have no match this weekend, while in the Southern League Division One South and West, Cirencester Town visit Taunton Town.
