DANNY Wilson insists Town will go on the offensive tomorrow at Carrow Road, as the boss has set his sights on all three points.

After fielding an attacking line-up - with little success - last weekend in their 2-0 home defeat against Hartlepool, Swindon could be forgiven for attempting to shut up shop this Saturday against high-flying Norwich.

But Wilson believes he has assembled a squad who are built for life on the front foot, and that will be no different against the Canaries.

“We are going there to win the game and it doesn’t hold any fear for us,” he admitted.

“We have to be respectful of what they’ve got, but if we think we can sit back and soak up pressure for 80 minutes then we are kidding ourselves because we haven’t got that type of player.

“We’ve got the team for a positive attitude. Yes, we’ve got to defend as a unit, and the strikers and wingers have to help us defend when it’s needed, but more importantly we have to pose a threat as well. It can’t be one-way traffic all the time.

“If you try to do that then it’s inevitable that what you don’t want to happen will happen and you will concede.

“We will go there with a team that is quite offensive-minded, there’s no doubt about that.”

Wilson is expecting a decent footballing contest between two of the sides in League One who prefer to keep the ball grounded.

But he knows that ultimately substance is more important than style in a results-driven industry.

“When you’ve got a team that wants to go out and play football, and one that is renowned for going out and playing football, then is certainly makes for a better exhibition,” said Wilson.

“The bottom line is though that we want to win. You don’t want to put a pretty performance in and come away with nothing.

“We’ve got to put a really professional performance in away from home, which is hard enough at any level or any club. But when you go to Norwich the expectations are very high and they are having a good run at the moment.

“We’ve got to go out there and believe we can win. I certainly do and going there holds no fears for me.”
