WITH the league fixtures effected by Wiltshire Junior Cup commitments, it was left to Division One to take centre stage last weekend and 16-year-old Bradley Ray stepped up to the plate.

The youngster grabbed his first senior hat-trick when he scored all of Penhill Allstars’ goals in their 3-2 win away to Lower Stratton.

The game was a fine example of attacking football with Stratton taking an early lead only to be pegged back by Ray.

The visitors then re-took the lead only for Ray to reply and then, after a Stratton dismissal, Ray crowned a fine performance with a well-deserved third.

Top scorers of the day were Spectrum who managed to knock seven past a spirited CitiFaith Ajax.

Spectrum raced into a 4-0 lead thanks to Craig Kelly with two of an eventual four, a Chris Eley strike and James Munday.

Aaron Northcott replied for Ajax, only for Kelly to add his third and fourth and Munday completing his double.

Northcott added his second consolation, with the game finishing 7-2 to Spectrum.

CitiFaith drop into fourth spot despite a hard-fought draw at home to Ramsbury. Goals for the home side came courtesy of Oliver Boston and Elliot Pether with a double.

Two strikes from Chris Tewksbury was not enough to stop Old Town Wanderers leapfrogging CitFaith into third spot.

In a terrific match at Shrewsbury Road, honours were even between Showroom Finish and Nythe.

The game was played at a blistering pace with neither giving an inch.

Showroom had goals from Steve Holland and Richard Martin to thank for their share of the points.

Ashley Andrews and Darragh Enwright scored for the away side.
