BILLY Paynter has agreed to join Leeds United and will link up with the newly-promoted Championship side on July 1.
The 26-year-old striker, who is out of contract at Town this summer and had been offered an improved deal, will move to Elland Road on a three-year contract.
Paynter joined Town in August 2007 and enjoyed his best goalscoring season to date this term, netting 29 times.
Meanwhile, Danny Ward has returned to parent club Bolton following the conclusion of his loan.
