CHIPPENHAM Town winger James Guthrie is thoroughly enjoying his experience in the Southern League after making the step up from Hellenic Premier Division Highworth Town in January.
Guthrie, who made the final 22 of the Samsung ‘Win A Pro Contract’ competition at Swindon Town, has become a regular member of Adie Mings’ matchday squads. And he is revelling in the role.
“I’ve been really been enjoying it,” he said.
“It’s a good test to see if I can play at this level and I think I’m slowly getting into it. I think I’ve adjusted well.
“The lads all welcome you in and help you out on the pitch, so that makes it much easier.”
